Detail of settings of POD HD500 – Part 2
Following previous article, I’ll explain my settings of POD HD500 that I used in the movie.

I made 16 patches for this demo.
I’ll explain each of the 4 patches in the 4 articles.
I introduce 4 tones below in this post.
Common settings of each tones
I made 2 tones of “Rhythm / Lead” in each amp models.
“Rhythm” tones use no effects, and added some effects that like Booster / Echo / Reverb on “Lead” tones.
I didn’t use the distortion effects on it because I wanted to show you the characters of each amp models.
Cabinet, Microphone and optional amp parameters like “Sag / Ham / Bias…” are all default.
“ER” setting is 20% for all rhythm tones, and set to 10% for lead tones.
So, let me explain the settings of each tones.

Supro is as known as the amp that was used by Led Zeppelin.
Crispy edge and warm distortion by a small speaker is good for chord stroke.

Added the character of the pre-amp of “Tape Echo” to the unique drive tone of Supro for lead.
I think it has more depth and taste than the rhythm part.

This is a modeling of Gibson EH185 which has the rich midrange.
This model’s small speaker has not broad range. But this hot, fat and rough tone is great.

I used “Tape Echo” as a pre-amp effect on Hiwatt and Supro, and then I used “Tube Echo” as a pre-amp with Gibson EH185.
Although “Tape Echo” added thickness to tone, “Tube Echo” brings the brightness.
This drive tone makes me hot, so I played some fast licks naturally when I was shooting this movie.
